Photo projects

I have dedicated myself to several projects in which I focus on a specific subject that is inspiring me. It can be an animal that is charismatic or an area that is of great value for nature. Sometimes it can also be a commercial opportunity. I cooperate with conservationists or nature conservation organisations to get access to specific areas or to acquire the right information. In exchange I provide them with a selection of free photos, my knowledge or my observations.

Military areas

In Southern Sudan, I have conducted an expedition to the Sudd marshes and surroundings. This was to photograph the Shoebill and its environment. For more info: download the report.

Natura 2000 is a special project in which I work together with my friend and colleague Melchert Meijer zu Schlochtern to capture all habitats, species and areas in The Netherlands designated under the EU Natura 2000 directive (more info: click on 'Natura2000' at bottom).
