Crawling

Last saterday I was at the NP Sallandse Heuvelrug, a hilly ridge created by a glacier in the forelast ice age. Every part of the area inherited its shape from the forces of ice some 150.000 years ago. When I walked there, it was freezing cold and hoar frost was everywhere, making me feel like living in the ice age. There I saw this shrub of Common Juniper, a very old one, that had partly collapsed. From its side the branches were still growing and creating new shrubs, offspring of the deceased parent.

Cheer,

Niels
